The "pre-story" begins in early 2006, when my employer decided to call it quits with their business. I briefly get you up-to-speed with bit bit of back story so that the remainder of the story will make sense, and then I dive right in to the story. I'll spend a total of four episodes on the "story behind the story" so that when everything really begins in 2014 on episode 6, everything will make sense.
